Hey everyone! I'm new here and I just wanted to check in, give you the basic info. First, my name is Kate and I've been engaged since Dec. 20 to my perfect man. The rest you can find on my LJ. So here's my basic info...

Basic Stats: 222 lbs, 5'6", 43:40:50
Goals: Long Term - 145 lbs
Wedding Date: June 7, 2008

I've struggled with my weight my entire life, but the only time I've ever had it under control is when I was on LJ, so I'm back. I was my smallest last January, at 211 lbs. I haven't been that small since 5th grade. (I'm a second year at Florida State University)

So, here I am, ready to start the fight again. Wish me luck!

-Kate

Current Location: My bedroom
Current Mood: awake
Current Music: Watching Reno 911

Congrats on starting over! Committing to do it is the hardest part sometimes, so I know you can do it :)

I haven't really done THAT bad since January. 11 lbs in 7 months, and it should only take me about a month to get rid of it, so I'm looking at this very positively. I have a little less than 22 months to lose all this weight, so if I lose a pound or two a week, consistently, these 77 pounds will be gone by my wedding. :)

Our anniversary is June 7, so being at goal by June 7 is important to me too, although I'm aiming for getting to my goal or within sneezing distance by June 7 2007. I'm 5'5" and 215 right now, but I'm trying to get into the 150s by next summer. I might or might not make it but I am going to try. I started last July at 258, so I've been losing very slowly overall. But I don't have any loose skin so that's worth it to me.

Good luck on your journey. You are certainly giving yourself plenty of time and that's awesome. (A lot of people don't give themselves enough time and losing weight really has a learning curve, even if it isn't the first time.)

Oh wow. That was a long time ago...

I guess I'll catch you up... My "perfect man" turned out to be MUCH less than perfect. Since I broke off the engagement, I've dated another man for 15 months, though we've just broken up last week with hopes that we'll reconcile in time.

I have left FSU due to the nature of how my engagement ended.

Also, as you found, have a new journal.

My new weight information is much different than this entry. Since everything that had happened, I gained back up to almost my highest weight, 275 lbs. Two months ago, I rededicated myself to weight loss and I'm currently at 257 lbs. My final goal is 175 lbs.

Thank you for your interest and support. :)
